Liane Moriarty masterfully creates 9 beautifully complex characters who are all visitors at a grand resort for a 10-day spa retreat. The visitors had heard the excentric spa owner had unique methods of transformation, but no one expected what would transpire over their stay.
I am new to the mystery/suspense genre, but I read this book on the recommendation of a friend and I could not put it down. The dark comedy and increasing sense of foreboding kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. While some drama was foreseen, this book took several shifts in direction that surprised me and kept me on the edge of my chair.
